ATS Reliance - Mechanical Design Engineer

A Marysville Aerospace Company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for their dynamic design team. As part of the design team you would be responsible for utilizing Unigraphics 3-D software to develop design concepts and produce engineering drawings on numerous airlines and many diverse types of aircraft worldwide.  Desired skills include: the ability to specify component parameters, select materials, and design parts to be used for aircraft structural modifications. Experience with preparing FAA documents and test plans as well as a knowledge of aerospace industry materials, parts, and processes is a plus. Candidates must be degreed, and have some design experience with exteriors, Radome or rack structures. Other desired experience includes: structures design, airframe, skins and frame, a working exposure to 767 or 777 and CATIA. Ideal candidates will have 10-15 years experience.

Aerospace Mechanical Engineer needed with Unigraphics/Catia or any 3D modeling software design design experience to develop door mechanisms that include the generation of models, specifications and drawings. You will be responsible for designing and identifying component parameters, selecting materials, assemblies and parts to be used for commercial aircraft passenger and cargo doors for an exciting new airline company. We desire to bring in talented people that have the following experience: Preparation of FAA documents and test plans; knowledge of aerospace industry materials, hardware and processes; knowledge of FAA regulations; competency in operating CAD software; a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of ten years of directly related experience in the aerospace industry; or equivalent experience.   • Experience in either aircraft door or mechanism design or Landing gear development for commercial aircraft.

Alternatives:

  • If non-degreed then candidate could have 10+ years experience
  • Non - Unigraphics (with any other CAD package)people MUST have commercial aircraft experience and/or mechanism exposure

Primary desire - Unigraphics experience design in an aerospace environment on aircraft doors with background in mechanism design/kinematics/landing gear development/trailing or leading edge/flap/moving surfaces.

JobPlex - Systems Engineering Support

Support all Systems Engineering activities for the development, qualification and field support of electronic controls. Duties include analyzing customer specifications, deriving software requirements, providing systems technical support to software design functions, develop and carry out software integration testing, perform first article system test, support system qualification test, documentation of requirements, analysis and test, perform investigation of failures to find the root cause, and customer interface.

Sample work may include: Embedded avionics software using C/C++, Ada, and assembly. Programming on Unix, VMS/VAX, and Windows. Unit test engine and flight control software to DO-178B Level A standards using LDRA and Rational coverage tools.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience with real time digital control systems.
  • Broad education experience with electronics, software and lab work.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and debugging software.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate and coordinate with other functions and customers.
  • Familiar with lab debugging techniques including use of oscilloscope, logic analyzer and bus analyzer.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience with requirement allocation and analysis.
  • Analog and Digital software background.
  • Experience with aircraft engine control and/or aerospace system development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and solve complex problems.
