T-System - Physician Informaticist

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, T-System is the leading provider of clinical documentation solutions for emergency medicine. Today, more than 2,000 civilian and military emergency departments in the United States, Puerto Rico, Australia and around the world partner with T-System for their clinical information needs.  We are looking for a Physician Informaticist to join our growing team. Function: Leads the requirements specification and conceptual design work for all physician-related aspects of T-System's solutions (products plus services), including medical content (medical content work being done in close conjunction with the Clinical Resources and Content Development department). Infuses his or her thought leadership as well as medical informatics expertise into all of our solutions. Serves as Product Management's physician liaison to all internal and external stakeholders. Duties: 1. Requirements analyst for clinical analytics functionality, eliciting, analyzing, and specifying physician-related requirements - both functional and clinical content. 2. Represent the "Voice of the physician" as well as the "Viewpoint of the CMIO" in conceptual design work. 3. Insure that all T-System requirements and design work is consistent with relevant current and emerging healthcare IT standards. 4. Provide market insight regarding the CMIO's viewpoint, on all relevant market analysis work. 5. Insure T-System compliance with regulatory guidelines and support for "evidence based medicine" initiatives.    Qualifications: 1. MD or DO degree, with a masters degree in medical informatics, information systems, healthcare administration, business administration, or equivalent. 2. Experience as a CMIO, who has dealt with the medical staff's adoption and use of healthcare software. 3. Medical practice experience that provides a basis to understand both episodic and longitudinal care workflows. 4. Broad knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines as well as "evidence based medicine" approaches. 5. Content development/knowledge engineering know-how. 6. Requirements specification and conceptual design know-how. 7. Able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. 8. Organizational consensus builder, who works well on teams and without a need for close supervision.

Current pharmacology knowledge is desirable. 6. Requirements specification and conceptual design know-how. 7. Able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. 8. National reputation as a nurse informaticist with experience as a CNIO, who has dealt with the nursing staff's adoption and use of healthcare software. 3. Nursing practice experience that provides a basis to understand both episodic and longitudinal care workflows. 4. Broad knowledge of nursing-related IT standards. 5. Broad knowledge of nursing-related regulatory guidelines. 6. Content development/knowledge engineering know-how.

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our team of professionals as a Senior Informatics Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters.The Senior Informatics Analyst has primary responsibility for fully supporting Chartereds ongoing healthcare business intelligence and informatics related strategic goals and objectives. Responsible for design and conduct of analyses related to measuring performance and status of programs, initiatives, processes and partners. Provides analytical interpretation of data for evaluation of clinical practices and the development of financial and contractual modeling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in a rigorous, quantitative discipline, such as health services research, actuarial science, statistics, or economics is required. Formal informatics training a plus. Five to ten years of health care quantitative analysis and the application of advanced statistical techniques experience. Computer proficiency with statistical analysis, spreadsheets, database and SQL. Strong Informatics skills in data/information presentationStrong oral communication, written presentation and interpersonal skillsAdvanced level report creation skills. Expertise in data exploration and preparation with large datasets, and in study design and execution required.Research experience with quantitative models. Strong analytical skills and multi-tasking capabilities. Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports & SQL. Ability to work independently on complex projects and issues and interaction with other departments. Knowledge of Health Plan Data and an understanding of the linkages between data, knowledge and decision support necessary to report outcomes. Experience with HEDIS and Medicaid reporting preferred.
